New features & updated platforms

Email

In our previous newsletter we promised to share our development roadmaps with you. As always, they are built around the titles you've asked us to include and the platform enhancements you've requested.

Accessibility is central to all our product development, so we're constantly improving our accessibility features. Currently, we are working towards making our practice labs screen-reader accessible, and our accessibility team – which includes three partially-sighted members – will be putting our first screen-reader-accessible CompTIA A+ lab through its paces over the coming weeks. Watch this space for further updates.

Q1 gets off to a great start

At the end of February, we were contacted by the Financial Times to let us know that the Practice Lab group of companies [represented under our parent company, I-Qubed Solutions Limited] had been included in the FT and Statistica 2019 list of Europe's Fastest Growing Companies. This places us as one of only 29 UK-based technology companies in the list and is testament to the hard work of the Practice Labs CREW in the US, UK and APAC and the ongoing support of our partners and customers.

Our upward trajectory continues, and the first quarter of 2019 saw us add 42,391 new learners to the Practice Labs platform, which is more than double for the same period last year. Usage is following a similar pattern, with over 882,000 hits on our practice labs and exam preps.

Practice Labs recently sponsored 1,500 cybersecurity career guides, which have been sent out to schools across California as part of the California Mayors Cyber Cup – an initiative to encourage young people to consider a career in IT. We were also pleased to support beyond the competitions by providing 100 students with 120 days free access to our cybersecurity bundle.

Hot from an inspirational couple of days at the Correctional Education Association Leadership Forum in Sandusky, we'll be heading over to Nashville for the Continuing Education Training Institute conference. If you're in town, don't forget to swing by to say hello to our education partner specialists and pick up the latest intel. We'll have some pretty cool giveaways too!
