International Women's Day 2022

At ACI Learning our CREW is full of powerful and amazing women. This year we have decided to all come together for International Women's Day to express the importance of women in society today.

We believe in 'A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.' International Women's Day 2022 (internationalwomensday.com)

Rachel Ezete CREW and Culture Coordinator at ACI Learning has written a piece on her thoughts behind IWD and what we can do to #BreakTheBias.

'Every person has a bias. Thus, breaking bias matters within ourselves as with others. We should be able to recognise and address bias in every area of our lives both personally and professionally and as a society.

Let’s begin with breaking the bias from the grass root which is family from how we are raised and how we continue to raise the next generation of professionals. This needs more than international women’s day. This should be an intentional daily journey of learning and unlearning if we are to be successful at breaking the bias.'

Ann Reist, Chief Marketing Officer at ACI Learning explains how she is supporting International Women's Day from as a leader.

'In honor and support of #BreakTheBias, and as a woman, my leadership style is to always encourage and inspire women to develop a mindset for success, and to have the confidence and ambition to be all that they can be. With a powerful mindset, intention and hard work you will achieve what’s most important to you and your success will follow. One of my favorite mantras for happiness and success is – Live your life with purpose and intention. Let’s all #BreakTheBias and create your destiny!'

I decided to write a blog about this because it’s one of the most common misunderstandings I come across. Namely, that simulation is equivalent to real-life learning.
