The CompTIA 220-1102 certification is an entry-level certification aimed at students wanting to gain entry into the IT industry and the first stepping-stone to multiple IT career pathways.

Compared to the previous version of the CompTIA 220-1002, the four domains remained the same; Operating Systems, Security, Software Troubleshooting and Operational Procedures. What's new in 1102?

  • There are additional Command Line Tools added for you to explore its functionality.
    .
  • Explore the different tools for MAC and Linux Operating Systems.

  • The certification outcomes have been aligned with relevant security technology.

  • There are new objectives for mobile devices covering security and connectivity.

Why should users favor the new A+ 220-1102 over the previous A+ 220-1002?

CompTIA has stated that the objectives for the new A+ have continued to move with the times and are more relevant in the new post-Covid working world. They cover this by focusing on methods/tools such as VPN, Virtual network computer (VNC), Microsoft Remote Assistance (MSRA), and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM). Additionally, more objectives have been added, focusing on third-party tools such as screen-sharing software, video-conferencing software, file transfer software and desktop management software.

What are the advantages to using this Practice Lab?

While there are infinite advantages to using the Practice Labs platform, these include live virtual devices and relevant real-world scenarios, to mention only a few.

More specifically, why choose A+ 220-1102 Practice Lab? We have added an Android device to the lab to allow students hands-on experience with a simulated mobile device. The Operating Systems used in the lab title are the most current to date and include Windows 10 & 11.

Who is this lab for?

The A+ 220-1102 lab is initially aimed at those in support roles such as Desktop Support or a Support technician. It is also the first stepping stone in a multiple career pathway, such as a Network Engineer, Cybersecurity Specialist or Infrastructure Engineer.
